Nissan Advanced Air Bag System
The Nissan Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) features dual-stage supplemental front air bags that incorporate seat-belt
sensors and an occupant-classification sensor.* Air bag deployment adjusts according to seat-belt usage and crash
severity.
*Air bags are only a supplemental restraint
system; always wear your seat belt. Do not use rear-facing child restraints in the front-passenger's seat. Also,
all children 12 and under should ride in the rear seat properly secured in child restraints, booster seats, or
seat belts according to their size. Air bags will only inflate in certain accidents. See your owner's manual for
more details. Inflated airbags shown for illustration purposes only. Actual air bags deflate after deployment. |

Side Curtain Airbags
Nissan Titan is the first in its class to offer Roof-mounted Curtain Supplemental Air Bags* with side impact and
rollover protection for front and rear outboard occupants. This advanced system also features a rollover sensor
which, when it detects an impending rollover, deploys the curtain air bags.* The air bags are designed to remain
inflated long enough to help provide protection even in the event of multiple rollovers.
*Air bags are only a supplemental restraint

all children 12 and under should ride in the rear seat properly secured in child restraints, booster seats, or

Side-impact Air Bags
Titan also offers available driver- and front-passenger Side-impact Supplemental Air Bags.* They're built into
the front seats (not the door), so they help protect you even if you adjust your seating position.

Zone Body Construction
High-strength steel and crossmembers are used in Titan's solid construction to reinforce the cabin. Crumple zones
are strategically placed in the front and rear to help absorb crash energy. Hood buckling creases help to prevent
the hood from intruding into the cabin. And to help reduce injury in side impacts, there are pipe-style steel side-door
guard beams in each of Titan's doors.

3-point Seat Belts
Never forget, seat belts are still your primary restraint in any vehicle, no matter how many air bags there are.
The driver and front passenger seat are also equipped with pretensioners that automatically help tighten the belts
when the front air bags deploy, as well as load limiters that help give a little when too much force is put on
the belt.

Front-Seat Weight Sensor
If the front passenger seat is empty or occupied by a young child, a sensor deactivates that airbag and illuminates
the warning lamp on the dash.*

LATCH System
Titan features the LATCH System (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) for securing LATCH-compatible child restraint
seats. This system takes a lot of the guesswork out of securing a child seat for your most precious cargo.
The first ever in the automotive industry, our Snug Kids Child Safety Seat Fit Guide provides a list of car seats
that fit the rear seats of Nissan vehicles and, most important, gives tips on correct installation. A child restraint
that's properly installed is one of the most effective ways to help keep a child riding in your vehicle safe. We
hope our guide makes this critical task an easier one. Nissan Child Safety Seat Fit Guides are available for the
Titan Crew Cab and the Titan King Cab.

Vehicle Security System
Consider the Vehicle Security System a watchful eye while you're away. This system flashes the headlights and sounds
the horn if there is any attempt to open the doors or hood without a key.

Vehicle Immobilizer
The Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System makes it more difficult for anyone to steal your truck without your actual
key. A microchip inside the key sends a signal telling the engine to start. Without the key, the chip, and the
signal, your Titan won't start.
